We are cleaning out my late father’s belongings and this is one of the watches we found. Does anyone have an idea of the model number of this Omega watch? I tried to wind it up and the second hand only runs for about five seconds and only if the crown is pulled out. Is it even a genuine Omega ?

The question of authenticity isn't binary, it's a spectrum. A watch case could be authentic but have a replacement movement or refinished dial both of which would be factors in the watch's value. That said, the case and dial look to me to be genuine. If the caseback is removed the movement can be assessed and the reverse side should be engraved with a reference number and serial number which will indicate the manufacture date. Better photos will also help. It looks like an early 1960's Seamaster 30 to me (although I'm not sure they were ever produced with dauphin style hands), but I'm sure more experienced members will have more insight.

Yea hands are probably something fitted during a service at some point, should be Cal 286 for these as they were pre-Cal 600. It would be worth having it cleaned up and finding a correct set of hands or somewhat close set.
