Could you please help me to identify this Omega De Ville watch. I have inherited this recently and cannot find any details. Offcourse I would be happy to get an idea about the value but my main objective to find out if it is an authentic Omega and if yes what specifications it has.

    Some details:
    - On the buckle it sais 585. I thing this means that it is 14 krt gold
    - on the strap it says 711.1712 I have no clue what this means
    - It is an Omega De Ville I have not opened the back yet in search for a serial nr
    - beolw the Dial it says OM Swiss made OM

Would be great if you can help me to help me collect some details.

    Thanks, Maurits

    1. Yes, the band is 14K gold.

    2. The engraving on the band is an Omega model number. There is probably a different model number inside the case for the watch itself.

    3. You will need to have a watchmaker open the back to identify the caliber (model) number of the movement and the age.

    4. "OM" stands for Or Massif, or solid gold. The dial is 18K gold.

    Good luck,
