Hi

Recently purchased this watch. After the first inspection I notice that the bezel it's not authentic.. which rise the following question..it's all watch FAKE?? Other problem was the write from beneath the 'Seamaster' it's shorter from what I seen on the net. (From other pictures)

Thank you

Is there a serial number on the movement anywhere? The rotor is marked 1120 but doesn’t seem to match other examples.

My gut reaction is that is a doctored eta movement.

Is this just the midsize with an aftermarket bezel? What is the case diameter? 36mm is the midsize.

Edit: I think it is the 41mm. It just had an aftermarket bezel insert added, probably because the original was in bad shape and the owner didnt want to spend a lot for an original and correct one. Although, I do see what you mean about the Seamaster script being larger. Plus the crown guard doesn't look right. I'm thinking this could be a fake with some Omega parts added. I'd return it if you can and find a better example with the correct parts. They are lots of these out there.

the movement and the bezel are for sure replacements and are not authentic to the watch. The case/dial/bracelet look real to me but this for sure a franken watch made with both original and aftermarket parts. I would return it.

Thank you for all the replies. The case size is 41mm. Here are some more pictures with the movement. So the movement is Omega or fake?

This is an Omega caliber 1120 movement. Courtesy of the Ranfft archive. One can pretty well draw one’s own conclusions about the subject watch.

Could you please let me know where do you check the serial number for that information? I am interested to check also my other watches.
Thank you in advance.

Sorry to hear about this predicament OP. However, I'm quite surprised that fakes would bother with an Omega Seamaster such as this. I mean if I go to the lengths to fake models like this, I would rather channel my resources towards the current Rolex Ceramic subs or something.

Not publicly available...it's the Omega Extranet and only those who work at Omega AD's, OB's, or have access to Omega parts (watchmakers) can look this information up.

The watch is a mash-up of different parts. The case itself is likely genuine, and maybe the dial, but the bezel insert at least is not (bezel as well - scallops look wrong), or the movement.

I thought that it's not public available because I search with google and nobody said that you can look after the serial number..only case ref, model etc. Thank you for confirming.
