    Picked up in trade recently

no pic on the vintage database for this model, googled this reference, though this has a date magnifier and mine has cross hairs

Not sure what is on the dial here, some kind of pitting ?

Wonder if any member knows if or how this can be cleaned?

This was sold as a birth year watch yet the vintage database indicated it was a couple years younger

Is there a way to date by movement serial number, were they sequential?

thanks for your reply yet no history is available so couldn't say, haven't the proper tools or skill to remove the movement, hands and dial to see but curious to know what prompts the question?

I asked that because I think the crosshair should go throughout, not stop at the words seamaster or omega/automatic, but I could be wrong I am not an expert.

Cheers mate, probably worth noting no cross hair dials found when googling, not sure its correct for the model . . .

Hopefully more members will chime in

correction, cross hairs only appear in images of gold case version, not steel case
