PLEASE HELP, 馃槈

I've just bought my son a 2531.80.00 for his 18th birthday (13th December) but it was sold as a 2001 (his birth year) and it turns out that its a 2006 instead. Im so dissapointed as id been looking for a 2001 for over a year and thought id nailed it.

I looking to buy another asap and was hoping somebody can help me. Ill pay cash (in hand if need be) but need a full set.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or pass this on if im in the wrong thread (soory but this is my first post)

Fingers crossed as i have only 1 week, AGGHHHHHHHHHHH

That's too bad, but I'll keep my eyes open. I'd be posting all over the internet looking for one with an actual extract of the archives included, but a week to find this is stressful I'm sure.

The problem is that the serial numbers for each year that is newer than 1998 have eluded me online. Does anyone know the serial number range for Omega Seamaster watches made in 2001?

I was lucky that my son's birth year was 1998 and easy to find serial numbers, Whew! However, we decided not to do an extract on our pair of 56 million range serial number SMP Quartz, since ignorance is bliss and we can believe them to be birth year watches.

When I bought my son's 1998 Speedmaster Pro 3572.50 for graduation next may, I had to go online and track down multiple Speedys of known features, age, and serial number, to decide that the one that I was looking at most very most likely a 1998 model. It was hard work, and now I can't even find my list of the 5-6 watches that helped me date his.
