Please Consider Taking this Omega Survey

Hi all! Hoping this is an approved use of the "Open Discussion" section of the forum. I'm working on a group project for a marketing class, which aims to identify the disparities between Omega's brand image and their brand identity. The survey should take about 3-5 minutes to complete, and contains no free response questions.

We'd really appreciate the opportunity to have some Omega enthusiasts in our sample. Thanks for your time!

So you are asking a vast group of Omega folks, some of whom are university profs, how they feel about what Omega projects through about their company through various means to a group of people from around the world who choose to associate with others who appreciate the finer intricacies and products of said company. Should be straightforward. Side note: some of the experts around here know far more about Omega and their products than many people who are employed there. I’d spend the next few days reading every forum thread you have time to digest. You’ll get a good feel and that effort should sum up your project pretty well.

Okay, just to be obliging I started the survey in good faith. But there was no place to put answers that would be important to me. "Ruggedness" and "reliability" but no place for "makes replacement parts available" and the "availailabity of watchmakers who will work on them" that go along with it. Should have specified that the survey was only aimed at people who buy new watches.

I got stumped at the second question. It’s all a blur. It’s a sure sign of illness.

Sadly all my Omega watches are vintage. I was however ogling a Seamaster 300 a few weeks ago at my local AD.

The 300 has a nice vintage vibe. They did it well.

This one has ear-wormed it's way into my brain. I have been keeping to my no new (as in new to me) watches but this has got me thinking about not only getting another watch, but getting a modern one.

I love my 300. Between the bracelet and the way the case fits against the wrist it is ludicrously comfortable.

Fair enough. Thank you for the feedback, and for taking a look!

I quit after the first question. “Have you ever purchased an Omega watch?” Really? After all why would anyone on an “OMEGA” forum ever buy an “OMEGA”?

Another vote for the “new” 300. It’s one of only two modern Omegas that I own (vs 15+ vintage Omegas in my collection). The bracelet is great, but it does quite nicely on a strap too. I’ll take a look at the survey.

Try to be nice people, it looks like this is a student attempting to do a class research project to get the perspectives of experts about a product / brand they care about.

To the OP, you might better convey your respect for these experts by doing a close review of the survey content and suitability for the target sample - e.g. a number of your Likert scales have duplicate 6s in them.

Just submitted. FYI, you don't need to answer questions you don't want to. You can still submit. I ignored ranking the watches for ruggedness, etc.

Brand image vs brand identity… as someone that defended his thesis in marketing to get a degree that’s splitting and interesting hair.

yeah your going to get skewed results as the average Omega buyer is not represented on the forum.

If I start getting spam email for erectile dysfunction medication, hair loss cures and/or mail order brides from Ukraine after completing this survey, I will hunt down the perpetrators no matter what it takes. 😁
