Hi! I'm new to watch collecting, and I came across this beautiful (looking) 1963 Seamaster. Here: http://www.qualityvintagetimepieces.com/OmeSea2TFCITWGDAFfull.html Would someone more experienced with vintage Omega's be able to tell me whether this would be a good purchase? It looks to be in good condition, but I'm not sure what to look out for here, and I don't have any experience with this particular seller. One thing that stands out is the different color case back, this is weird right? Looking forward to hearing what you think! Adam
Typical gold plated top with stainless steel back. These are at the bottom end of the desirability (value) chain when it comes to vintage Omegas. Whether or not it would be a good purchase depends a lot on the price.
That's about twice what its worth. Try the Sales Forum here https://omegaforums.net/forums/private-watch-sales/
Oh good to know! Thanks for the heads up! Just saved me $$$ -- would you have any recommendations for where I won't get ripped off? - Adam
I strongly recommend you read this thread from beginning to end too, it's GOLD, I tell you, GOLD! https://omegaforums.net/threads/learn-how-to-fish.52603/
