Dear Forum! I would like to buy the attached watch. Could you please tell me your valuable thought? Thank you
Yeah, the rotor rubbing the inside of the caseback. Usually a sign that the watch needs TLC. Serious problem, well I guess with a service (and some parts) the movement can be fixed, but the visible scars might prove to be permanent.
nice dial But case would be way to soft for my liking - even for gold cap (which are always slightly less sharp) Note - you can’t get a new correct hexagonal Omega crown for these watches.
Easy to find pray do tell? I’ve been searching for 6 months and only recently have I managed to find one for this reference. I need two more one in SS and one in gold or gold cap if you happen to have any sources?
Crown is not wrong, but it is worn out and should be replaced. Unfortunately, the thin, 10-sided crowns that are also original for this model are nearly impossible to find. gatorcpa
My watchmaker have like 5 gold and 5 steel That's why I said it was easy , should have mentioned "for me"
I see where you’re going with this but is a 168.005 not a bit late for this type of crown? Will be interesting to see the serial on the movt.
Here's my 167.005 with the same crown: Ref. number changeover occurred in 1963, which about when this watch was produced. If I could find the 10-sided crown for this watch, I'd swap it out, but this is what it came with. gatorcpa
