Looks awesome! Is this the Omega in district 1?
Are you refer to the OMEGA boutique on Dong Khoi St, D1, Saigon?

No, this is Sydney boutique.

The one in Saigon has very limited stock range. They don’t even have OEM bracelets and straps in stock. Most items needs to be ordered with deposit.

Thankfully, I’m residing in Australia.

Oof, I'd love one of these. I adore my Ed White, but the subdials on this is stunning. One day I'll decide a kid or two isn't going to college and get myself one of these 😁

Did you buy it?
“Did you buy it?”

At the time, I had the Omega Speedmaster Calibre 321 Platinum on a leather strap.

When the model was quietly released, I received an invitation to a private event at the Marina Bay Sands boutique in Singapore. A small group of collectors gathered to see it in person. It was around the same period I collected my Omega Speedmaster Calibre 321 Canopus Gold Broad Arrow, so the timing felt significant.

Naturally, I asked if I could order the platinum flat-link bracelet separately to fit my watch.

The answer was immediate. “No.”

But I persevered.

Over time, I kept checking in, asking again, making my case. Then one day, the boutique came back with a definitive response. It was possible. But not simple.

The process would be long and costly. The watch had to be sent back to the Atelier in Biel. The case would need refinishing. Compatibility with the flat-link bracelet had to be assessed and confirmed. Installation would be completed there by the watchmakers themselves. No shortcuts. No exceptions.

But the result?

The perfect Speedmaster configuration: the asymmetrical case with crown guards, OEM flat-link bracelet, meteorite subdials set against an onyx main plate, powered by the legendary 321 movement. All in platinum.

This is what dreams are made of.

Oh, I'd love to feel the heft!
It is significantly, majestically hefty.

But the delicacy of the flat-link gives this watch an “airy” feel to it.

It does not feel like a brick on your wrist. And the numbers on my scale indicates that this is 7 grams lighter than the Platinum Daytona (both size to my wrists).

Interestingly, I’ve worn lighter watch that felt heavier. I think it all comes down to weight distribution and how comfortable is the bracelet.

College is overated. Get your kids to learn about 3d printing and manufacturing.

They’ll 3d print you a Moonwatch for free.

That is a pretty legendary upgrade to an already amazing watch. Simply stunning mate.
