Buy the watch on the bracelet, then buy the leather. That鈥檚 what I did. Buying the bracelet later is pricey!

Both, and also a rubber. I change to one of the three at least once a week. Lugs are a little scratched but I love them all and they all dive.

Why would you mate a diver and a leather strap? It is like putting slick tyres on a MB G-Class. IDK.

I have two leather Hirsch straps that I used in the water. Waterproof wax sealed. The oldest is 4 years old with hundreds of swims or dives in fresh and salt water (its the open strap lighter brown. Just starting to show wear on end of strap where it gets folded to insert the tang). Still looks great. They are way more comfortable than steel especially on the Planet Ocean.
The Planet Ocean gets half time on steel, the other half on rubber or leather. While steel may look better, the 200+gram weight does cause wrist fatigue. The SMPc gets 5% time on steel bracelet. It just does not feel right on Omega bracelet. It gets leather, rubber, or sharkmesh.

HIRSCH Paul Alligator Grain Watch Band
* HIRSCH Performance Collection - 300 m water resistant and hypo-allergenic
* Fine Italian calfskin, embossed with semi-matte alligator grain with matching stitch
* Sporty classic design
* Premium caoutchouc core
* Embedded fixed loop

I think black strap of any kind really makes the watch pop. I just picked up an Artem and love the way it looks. I鈥檒l put the bracelet back on for fancy events.
