Hello Omega Enthusiasts.

I've owned a PO LMLE ref.222.30.42.20.01.001 for some time now. And it doesn't get enough wrist time to justify keeping it in my collection. Thinking seriously about selling it.

My question is, back in the day this reference was red hot and hard to find. Now I hardy ever see listings for it, and quite frankly haven't seen one in ages for comparisons, etc.

Are they still a sought after reference? And if so, how much have they been going for lately? Btw I have all the full set box and papers if that helps judging value.

Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide. (and apologize for the iPhone pic quality).

They’re still sought after, just being a fairly uncommon reference they don’t come up often after all these years. If you check out ebay sold listings and chrono24 you’ll see what they’re going for.

Thank you very much for your follow up. It's very helpful. I did do a search, and you're correct, a couple popped up the past few years. But not many. Be well and thx again.

it is a nice version, one of the best black PO
I know. This reference is absolutely stunning and one of the best, if the best, examples of a PO imho.

It's one I will definitely regret selling once it's sold. But unfortunately need to thin the collection.

I've been following this reference on C24 the past few years. Seems like most in good condition with B&P will list around $8500+ on C24. I don't know if they actually sell for that though. Without B&P and you're looking at $6500-$7500. Prices have been trending down since the peak in 2022/early 2023.

Yes, fortunately I have full box and papers. And have at least 3-4 Omega straps to include. After researching $7,500-8,000 does seem like the price range.

I’ve also got a POLMLE, in quite good condition with box and papers - tried to let it go in early 2023 and folks were offering $5500 or less, at least over on the other forum. I took my listing down and have been keeping an eye - I’d be pleasantly surprised if a full set sold for anywhere in the $8k range right now…

I'd say this watch has a high appeal, to a very small audience. It's probably impacted about the same as everything else in terms of market prices being down currently, but it would definitely be something that would easily find a buyer at whatever the current market value is, and I think there will always be a buyer or two out there for a complete set of this reference.

These are just so few in circulation now, with only 1948 made and most of them on owners’ wrists or in storage at this point. They do still command high prices and are one of the most special Planet Ocean models made
