Won't be platinum, either rhodium plated or white gold for any markers and hands that are "shiny white metal" for all of Omega's non-precious metal watches.

Pretty sure they rhodium-plated steel. Definitely NOT platinum.

I was told that on the 8500 movement and beyond the hands, hour markers, and 6, 9, 12 markers are all WG.

A local AD. I was told it was supposed to be in an effort to combat tarnishing/ageing. Sounds like I've been misinformed..?

Rhodium plated brass. Indices, numbers and logo. Hands as well. There was somewhere an official letter in one of the German fora. I prefer brass as a core material, it is lighter.
