Planet Ocean 8900

Hi All,

I know very little about Omega watches. I have a seamaster professional 300M which I bought about 10 years ago and use that or an Apple watch as my daily wear.

I am thinking of buying my nephew (and Godson) a Planet Ocean 8900 and keeping it for his 21st birthday. Do these watches tend to have issues if they are just left in a box in a safety deposit for a number of years please?

PO with 8900 calibre has been introduced in 2016, not sure has any of us stored in a box for few years...
If anyone can give you any sensible input it is probably @Archer

Long story short the oil will dry up in 8 years or so. So I’d recommend a service if it has been sitting for a longer then that.
But your results may vary.
