Hey all, I'm looking at a pink gold 2374, with a pink gold dial, but struggling to find any others to compare/check authenticity. The pic from OVD doesn't help So of anybody does have a legit version, please can I see pics, and an idea of value of one in good condition.
There was one that just recently listed on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-BUMPER-AUTOMATIC-Ref-2374-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXCELLENT-ORIGINAL-DIAL-35MM-/150979798951?_Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network This one was sold on eBay, $611 for a solid gold watch. Someone got a bargain, even if it is a redial: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Solid-14k-Rose-Gold-1947-Omega-Bumper-Auto-Ref-2374-Cal-30-10RA-17j-/270986613924?Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network There are more than a few of this reference out there. The Google sees all, knows all and tells all, gatorcpa
Hi gator, yep been googling, but as you can see, tough to find an original dial. What do you think of this If you compare it to the 2500 the Swiss made is in the wrong place and the hour markers are different. If you compare it to the 30.10 mike recently sold (and I bought) it looks pretty good...
One always runs the risk of confusing things when you discuss and illustrate two different watches in one thread. Remember, it costs you nothing to make a new thread.
I think I see steve's confusion. Mike, are you saying the OVD one is original (the cloisonné) or the pink gold one? To confirm, I am thinking about the pink gold one, with the blue background in the photo. The cloisonné one is from OVD.
The one I am interested in, thanks. So I have mike in the thumbs up column, Dennis on thumbs down. Other views?
I must admit I really oohed and ahhed over this, getting out my own pirate stamp etc. you guys don't seem so thrilled?
Well it is not cheap, considering it is not a Centenary and it is from a seller a long way from Australia and unknown, so lets just say we are cautious. It is pretty
Look original to me. "Omega Automatic" font the same as this one: Is the dial on your watch supposed to be 18K like the Centenary? gatorcpa
That's why I say redial - I think this was supposed to have a white dial and it's been redone to look like a gold dial, even with the railroad minute/second track as if it were a 2500. Further investigation is necessary though since other opinions say original.
More pics I've also asked the seller for a photo of the back of the dial. I have been unable to find any other pink hold version of this watch, except the obvious redial gator posted above.
