Hello, My jeweler put the dial under a loupe and told me that it appeared this had been restored 30-40 years ago. SO yes, it is the original pie pan dial that actually came with this piece, but was restored some time ago.

This is EXACTLY what we mean when we talk about sellers using the word "original" for a dial - they only mean the piece of metal and don't count the paint.

 

I'm agree with you, and sometime, if you try to explain at the seller why is reprinting, he looks you like an alien.
