    OK, that's enough of the puerile jokes.

    Having had this brand pointed out to me by LouS, I had to get one just so that I could post just such a puerile thread title. Eschewing the temptatinon of spending over £2,000 to get a really old one with a genuine Auguste Raymond movement and not wanting another Landeron 48/148/248, I finally settled on this one:

    Looking past the completely scratched mineral glass and the disgusting brown crystal gasket, I'm really quite pleased with it - even more pleased when you see what is powering it:

    It's a Lemania 1873 (think Omega 860/861.

    The jewel holes are completely gunged up with dried up oil and the keyless works are seriously stiff (presumably gunged up as well) but for £300, I get to service this classic movement.

    If Al sees this, do you know if I can swap the plastic (nylon, I presume) blocking lever with one from an 860 or will I need to change the yoke and possibly the spring as well if, indeed it is possible at all?
