I am a trained, experienced watchmaker, and have been working on Omega watches for 20 years in various capacities, now also an OWME, but mainly working for jewelers not the public.

As a new member of the forum I should list my main watches- now sporting a blue dial Cosmic2000 automatic day/date, and my backups are a manual wind 266-powered sweep seconds dress Omega watch, and a military Hamilton from the 1970's with an ETA2801-2.

My friend came by with some cameras a couple weeks back, so I took out my favorite...

My "barn-find" is a 2998-5 circa 1962, serial number as visible in the pics is 18,945,307. It doesnt seem to have been serviced possibly ever, and the caseback was extremely seized closed from lack of gasket service, and the seller said it had sat for 30 years or more possibly.

I hope you enjoy. I know the pics are not the best, but he will reshoot with some Leica stuff sometime this summer, so I will repost.

Excellent. I spend too much time in the wrong barns, obviously. Nothing ages like the 2998 dials.

I will definitely post pics of the others. I dont do so well with artistic photography, but my friend likes watches and cameras, So thats a plus!
He did my business pics and those really still look nice 3 years later. These were done with a sony setup I think, and we will do some more with his Leica setup.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It is a photogenic watch, thats for sure.

We are fortunate, on Omega Forums, to have one or two helpful members here, such as @ICONO, who may be able to offer you practical, professional, advice on the best way to photograph your watches.
