I purchased this recently and after using poly watch on the plastic face still not pleased with all of the stress cracks. I ordered what I thought was the correct glass on eBay but it does not fit so I put the old one back on. Anyone have any ideas where I can purchase the correct crystal or plexi for this seamaster 135.012?

An independent watchmaker with a parts account can sell you one and install it properly. Better yet, if you just bought it, it probably needs a service. The crystal can be replaced while the watchmaker is doing a service. Best to have a clean running watch with fresh lubricant to preserve those vintage parts.

You need a PZ5000, one of the most common tension ring crystals out there. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks do you have any recommendations for a good watchmaker in my area? I’m in Southern California inland empire area.

Anywhere in the States will be a better place to start. Pick a good watchmaker as it’s not like a car service where you need someone local. Have sent watches from Australia to Canada for the best watchmaker. 👍

Just a point to note. ( there could be a good watchmaker local but don’t be scared to send a few states away )
