Boy, I wish I had better pictures. My wife and I moved to this village (a sleepy Western suburb of Chicago) 20 years ago. We have been raising 2 boys for the past 15. Close enough to Chicago to get back and forth from work in a reasonable amount of time and enjoy the amenities but far enough to fish in the backyard without seeing the neighbors. I feel very fortunate, but I confess, after seeing some of the photos and descriptions in this thread I am a bit envious.

This is the view from the deck of our home in rural New South Wales, Australia. It may be the same view everyday, but it can vary markedly depending on the season, weather and time of day.

Thanks. As I've mentioned before, I rarely use a cell phone and have to borrow my wife's anytime I really need to take a photo. We were both getting some sun the other day when I looked up from my chair, thought "wow, that's a pretty nice view" and asked her to give me her phone for a second to take that photo and email it to myself. Then I saw this thread a couple of days afterwards.

Yes it's PW, it was in 2012 I think. It was some kind of Beatles/Abbey Road anniversary but I can't remember exactly what. I just googled the Abbey Road Album and funnily enough the 50th anniversary of its release in is September this year. They were recording it at the time of the moon landing....and my birth which was 1 day before the Apollo 11 launch.
