So I strolled into the Madison Ave boutique today to get my wife a new 'Summer' strap, upon her request of course. Was happy to oblige Looks nice (for her tastes) While there, made perfect sense to pick up a few things.... ... which had to be put down...of course No, that won't buff out. That's corrosion you're looking at there I'm bringing home a new bezel. Mint DON ANY offers? No, but seriously, I don't have it, that's the way it is Lighting was a bit challenging... Just coincidence I walked in during a display period which should end in a week or so. These vintage lovelies will soon go back home ... ReLumed hands ... Was an interesting set of examples all around & quite enjoyable. Stop by if you're interested....2nd Floor Last, not least ... You may also see these from the 'presidential' collection. A real treat... Very Nice for a small display in customer service area. Hope you enjoyed it. Best!
They spelled George Gershwin's name incorrectly, but got Godowsky right! Interestingly, the wife of another famous pianist of the era (Ossip Gabrilowitsch) was Clara Clemens, the daughter of Samuel Clemens (and a pianist in her own right, studied for a bit with Liszt). But that's neither here nor there...
ENABLER!!! I only went in to have a look at all this ( it's awesome and I'm going back at the weekend ) ... And walked out with this ...
So glad you had something to take pics! Great set of photos, some nice shots, and nice watches! Wish I had an excuse to get down to nyc..
