I just went out to take a picture of antique Omega connies for your opinions. Its now selling for $450 NZ dollars. If this watch isn't fake, is it a good buy? It's been overhaul but I might polish & clean again.
hard to say. generally these things are out outright "fakes", but possibly "frankens," with the wrong movement inside. WIthout inside pics, we also don't know what condition the movement is in (it could be rusting very badly....) but, if that is already, I think $450NZ is a great buy
Looks like a ref 168.018, which would have a cal 564. Dial and hands look fine and the dauphin style on this one are less common than the baton style more commonly seen on these. Lugs have been polished pretty heavily. Price seems reasonable based on the single photo.
