·It's a new year so it's time to sell some watches. For sale is my no-date IWC Ingenieur reference 666, purchased from the estate of the original owner. This is the first Ingenieur reference from IWC, which was followed by the 866.
In general, the no date version is much more difficult to find than the date version. This example, without exaggeration, is the best that I have seen.
The dial is perfect with a lovely color to the lume dots. This dial variant is also horizontally brushed, which is quite uncommon. Most Ingenieur dials were starburst. The case is also in phenomenal condition, unpolished with all original factory finishing. There are minor scuffs on the case, which can be seen in the photos.
The crystal and crown are original. The hands also have a lovely lume color. There is mild oxidation to the hands, also visible in the photos. The caseback has an engraving, as this was a 25 year work award watch. There are minor scuffs on the caseback as well as a few superficial scratches from a prior opening attempt.
The antimagnetic cover is present. The movement is very clean but I have not had it serviced. I did not wear it often given the condition.
The watch will also come on the beads of rice Gay Freres bracelet with less common round IWC logo on clasp. There are also 3 extra links (shown in photos). The original strap and buckle will also be included. Please note, the strap is degraded and no longer functional but I didn't have the heart to toss it.
I am asking $6,000, which will include express shipping in the USA. International deals are gladly welcome and will ship at cost minus US shipping costs. I have done many international deals and will ship with FedEx/ParcelPro. I prefer Transferwise/Wise for international payments. Returns only if the watch is materially misrepresented. I am happy to provide any additional photos and videos for prospective buyers.
