Hi y'all, I have this 145.012-67 that according to the extract has a production date of May 20th 1968. It's on a period correct 1116 bracelet which I believe is original to this particular watch. I just so happen to prefer the look of a flat link bracelet. Yesterday I managed to obtain a beautiful tight & fully linked 1039 bracelet, which is stamped 1/69. My question: can a 1/69 stamped bracelet be considered period correct for a May 20th 1968 built watch? Or does the bracelet dating usually pre-date the watch?
It is what we do, you will not be able to stop. It gets worse when you search for just the right vintage 18mm NATO for your milsub, a new NATO I hear you ask? Wash your mouth out with soap!
Yes the bracelet is often later than the watch head. My original, one owner Ed White has an extract stating production in Oct '67, with bracelet stamped 2nd quarter '68.
Absolutely. The two Ω321s I have are both on 1039 bracelet, and the bracelet is later than the caseback date; a 67 bracelet for a -66CB, and a 68 bracelet for a 145.012-67. You are 100% good, and nice find.
Can't show the watch right now, I've dropped it off for a movement service. In 4-6 weeks I'll update this thread and show off the watch in all its splendor.
