Good day all,

TheGreekPhysique and I, two proud residents of the Keystone State, have discussed trying to arrange a get together of OF members in or near Pennsylvania. We thought that it might be fun to meet for coffee on a Saturday or Sunday and talk watches and whatever else might come up. To that end, I'm posting this to invite any Pennsylvania OF members, as well as those OF members who live beyond Pennsylvania's borders but close enough to make the drive, to private message me and let me know if you're interested in attending such an event. We're thinking that the first meeting will be at the Threebirds Coffee House in Easton, PA. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who would like to join us! Regards, -Greg (@gbesq)

We’ve received an enthusiastic response so far, but if it entices some of our nonresident neighbors to join us, we could certainly make this a dinner occasion with coffee afterwards. 😀

I'd love to drop by for a coffee as an ex PA resident. My family lived near Kennett SQ between '66 and '68 when I was a teenager.

I love Scandinavia. I’ve been to Denmark (multiple times), Norway and Sweden, but have never had the opportunity to visit Finland. Hope to get there at some point.

Have fun guys, try not to punch any horses, remember it’s a watch gathering not an eagles game

Lol, so I assume you’ve seen “Silver Linings Playbook”? We’re a tough bunch here in Pennsylvania.

I haven’t but a few years ago the horse punching was on the news in Australia and the anchor goes “that’s very sad the eagles fans really need to deal with a loss without brutalising animals” and the other anchor goes “oh they didn’t lose, they won, that’s just how they celebrate”

That quote almost made me spit out my water. So funny and sad yet so true. Thankfully was born in NY and casually follow NY sports instead of PA.

I'd encourage you to watch it. If there was ever a movie that depicts how crazy Eagles fans are, this is the one.

Its almost as good as when the Philly fans booed Santa Claus and pelted him with snowballs, forcing him to leave. Yes, SANTA!!!
I know a bunch of people from Philly, really nice all of them, they just lose their minds a bit at sporting events. Who can blame them, its gotta be tough to be an Eagles fan. 😉

....and now, back to your regular programming. Meet and greet in PA...

For those driving from further away feel free to ask any questions or recommendations if you plan on staying overnight or something. There is a pretty good steakhouse with good food a nice rooftop bar thats close to ThreeBirds that we can go to. It is kind of expensive though so if people prefer a cheaper option we can look into that as well.

Also, how many watches is everyone bringing?! I cant wait to ogle over everyone's lovely collections.
