I've never seen a Seiko quite like this before. Radium burns without the radium. It had suffered from a leaking battery, and I gather the fumes can sometimes create such an effect, although I have never seen one quite so dramatic before. As a patina guy, this is gold for me, and i picked it up for a song recently. Quick fettle by Andy Windle and she is running like a charm. I love it.

Interesting.. wouldn't it mean the electrolytes spilled and f'd up the whole movement? Basically messing the circuit and depositing on the mechanical gears and so on?

If you like patina, I ought to show my GS 4520-7000.
