Dear OF, I have here an uncommon yellow gold example of the Patek 2591 with yellow gold bracelet from 1964. Unfortunately the bracelet wears too large for my 6¾ inch wrist and I have decided to move on from it. Included in the sale is a generic black presentation box and the Extract of the Archives from Patek Philippe. Condition: Dial: Very light patina along the edges but no other defects to speak of. Serif font printing is crisp and sharp. Hands: The hands have light scratches at the base, which can hardly be seen. The remaining part of the hands are flawless. Crystal: Domed acrylic crystal has light scratches with the most visible one at 11 o'clock. The scratches can only be seen at certain angles and under good lighting. Case: The 34.5mm case is in good condition with light scratches from wear. The single hallmark can still be seen clearly. Crown: Original crown with logo winds very smoothly. Bracelet: The woven bracelet is in excellent condition and attached to the case by hidden lugs. The bracelet will fit a 7¼ inch wrist at the tightest notch and can be adjusted at the clasp to fit a 7½ inch wrist at its most loose. I find the tightest notch gives the cleanest look as there is no gap between the clasp and the bracelet. The tight weave design makes this one of the most comfortable bracelets I've ever worn; combined with the thin case and it feels great on the wrist. Clasp: The clasp has light scratches and the Patek Philippe logo is slightly rubbed. Hallmarks remain clearly stamped. Movement: Movement has been serviced and is running at approximately +6/-2s per day, adjusted to 5 positions. Power reserve has been tested at 50hrs. I'm asking for USD9,200 by bank transfer and shipping is included in the price. I can provide references upon request. Thanks for looking!
It couldn't be that hard for a goldsmith to adjust the bracelet to your size, if that's the only thing spurring you to sell this beauty.
I’ve been advised the same by others but I may have my eye on something else, just not completely decided yet . Having had the watch for about a year, I figured I wouldn’t want to irreversibly reduce the original bracelet length and let a potential new owner make that decision for themselves.
