·Patek Philippe has fallen a long way over the last 40 years, they are running on the fumes of their glorious past. Many years ago AP had a rectangular sports watch in the mode of the Royal Oak. Quartz driven, it was never popular and was discontinued probably 30 years ago. PP designs have not been very good for years now, but they have the 'name' and people will line up to buy this new design. Next iteration will have a Tiffany blue dial which will send the market into an orgasmic state.

·Not a fan. It does hit a certain aesthetic, but mostly I want to know what the large button on the left does. It seems it is a part of the case? But it looks like a button, so I need it to go ahead and be a button. That's where I am with the watch right now.

·First thought really was "Oh, Patek is making a Santos now without screws?" ... Then I started wondering about the name, and Eureka!
I do like that they chose to pay tribute to the comic book by Dupa that was started in 1968 in Tintin magazine, featuring a floofy big white dog named Cubitus. 1968 fits well with the time frame when there was innovation in Patek luxury watches, the Nautilus came out not a lot later, and Gerald Genta was designing very beautiful things then.

·When 5711 was discontinued, Stern said “I don’t want us to have more than a third steel watches. The steel Nautilus makes up a big part of that quota, and I don’t like that.” & “It’s not enough to make the most beautiful watches in the world. I also have to make sure that they retain their value, and rarity is one of the keys to that. For the customers who invest in Patek, that’s important.”

·This watch doesn't do anything for me. Ugly AF. I'm guessing it's going to be just as hyped up by influencers and so called "investors", just like the Nautilus.

·It's literally just a squarer Nautilus. The Nautilus is slightly better looking by virtue of being a bit of a nicer shape, but they're mostly identical.
To be honest, I'm of the opinion that if the Nautilus was from a microbrand nobody would give a shit, but because it's a Patek, it's hyped and exclusive. I expect the Cubitus to be identical in this regard as well.
