Hey OF. I found this mint looking Calatrava white gold. Full box papers 2011 serviced late last year, till Nov 2018. Wondering if it's a good price at 14.4k USD Unpolished too. Anyone who owns one has any good or bad to say? Also value retention wise, I know it's no Rolex but I really like the look. Comments? Yay nay
IMO that’s a decent price, especially if the service was done by PP. As for value retention, Rolex dress watches are far (far) inferior to PP.
Service was done by PP. This wears incredibly thin too, 8mm. And I've been reading about how this is the iconic piece to revive PP back in the 1930s...
Do you know if you are going to keep it Long term? I don’t think it will increase in value anytime soon.
Well, that's a question everyone asks isn't it? A few friends mentioned to me this isn't a very liquid piece, so if i do need the cash for wahtever reason, i would probably sell at a loss. Even though its quite an iconic piece from PP.
Haha sadly no. This PP probably trumps my 6 incomings haha. I was considering it, but I decided against it as it would leave my watch fund almost empty. And the resale value probably isn't that great as compared to say, a modern Rolex.
