Antoine de Macédo or Romain Rea are the most 'famous' ( and expensive)
Drop me a pm if you have time for a beer tomorow ;)

Thanks for the recommendation Larry S. Will surely check them out. I am here in Munich and visited the store of Bachman & Scher. Very nice gentlemen to deal with. I was an hour late for a beautiful 6241PN Daytona so I just trained my sights on a Blancpain FF milspec watch. Just waiting for a reply from a friend who is an expert on the milspec watch before we close the deal. If it doesn't work out, my next consideration is a Rolex 5512 with gilt chapter ring or a Rolex day date with Qaboos logo.

I visited Romain Réa last week and was not impressed. Being an Omega fan I spotted Constellation Deluxe. I asked if the dial was original, to which they said yes. When I examined the dial under a loupe it was quite clearly to my neophyte eyes a bad redial. The asking price is 10 grand. The watch is on their website.

Antoine de Macedo was a much better experience (though expensive).

    Check out Charly.

If you have time to kill, a small trip to Les Puces de Saint Ouen is always enjoyable - there are a couple of high end shops (especially price-wise) and a couple of more regular vintage watch dealers. Be ready to negotiate if you go there, though!
I wouldn't recommend going there unless you know what you're looking for/ looking at, but I think you'll be fine ;)

This is also a watch fair (ROCollection) next saturday.
Address, is : 1 place Saint-Gervais, at the back of Hotel de Ville (City hall)
Nearest metro station is Hôtel de ville (1)
As far as I remember, there is an entrance fee of 10€, it is quite tight and crowdy so I would recommend to go outside of busy hours.

Always nice to meet an OF member in a foreign land. Thanks @Fost for showing me some of your beautiful Longines and Eterna watches. Great watch stories too.

10,000 euros for that Constellation. No wonder they still have it.

I went yesterday to Romain Rea and left empty handed. Yes, the prices were very high. So today, I visited The Beautiful Watch store in Rue de Seine and met the owner Frederic Petat.

It was a pleasant meeting and had a good discussion on collector grade watches. He showed me a collector grade Rolex Submariner 5512 with gloss gilt exclamation dial, gilt chapter ring, pcg, faded mk l bezel and riveted bracelet that stretches.. I was completely blown away by the overall condition and beauty of the watch. I also got blown away when he told me the price!

After the initial shock, we started negotiating and managed to agree at a price. Still high but well within reason considering the condition and rarity of the watch. Besides I really want it. I will wire the money to him on Monday and might fly again to Paris to pick up the watch.

I also bought from Frederic a 1950s Lemania 105 UTI Chronograph with a beautifully aged dial. The watch is also in superb condition. I will post pictures when I get back home to the Philippines on Sunday. Used to be easy with Tapatalk. Btw I'm posting the link to the website of the store that shows the 5512.

Nice 5512 - "ghost bezels" are all the rage (as you know)

Is your new Lemania the 105 listed right below the Rollie ? It's gorgeous

Yes it is and it's really nice. It's also my first Lemania watch.

Our very humble fellow forum member @Northernman would most likely be happy to share his expert opinion on your 105. In the time I've known him here, he has acquired scores of Lemania's and more likely, hundred(s). Prolific. :)
