I wanted to ask the paneristis here -

after handling one of the luminors, I was impressed by the solid heft and grew a shine to these guys. I have small 6.5" wrists though, and I think 44mm may be the largest I could ever go. I played with a 47mm 1950 and tried it on at an AD here and it looked ridiculous on me. :(

However, I *have* to have the sandwich dial (vs the painted dial), and the bubble dome crystal is a huge plus if possible. Now - is there a PAM luminor (preferably with sub seconds) that is 44mm or smaller, but has a sandwich dial?

sandwich + 44mm (Luminor) case + sub second hand = 111, early 510 (later / current 510 has painted dial)

    sandwich + 44mm (1950) case + sub second hand + dome crystal = 233

If you want rare and destro, there is a PVD cased 44mm Luminor left crown, the reference escaped me :p

Besides the obvious difference (3-day ETA vs 8-day inhouse movement), the case between 111 and 510 are actually different. The 510 wears just a bit thinner. And the number fonts are different, the 510 has fat "6".

    I have a 114 and 510. :)

If you're willing to consider a Radiomir case, the 42mm models fit well on slim wrists like mine (6.3") - this is a PAM338 in Ti (with sandwich dial) but there's a PAM337 in SS too.

Here is a 7 1/2 " wrist with 47 mm. It's the watch that matters. I love it
