Hi guys,

which one would you prefer:
LUMINOR MARINA LOGO ACCIAIO - 44MM - PAM00005

LUMINOR MARINA ACCIAIO - 44MM - PAM00111

The only difference is the logo, but I still cant decide which I like more

Please advice

 

111 os the one I have and love dial is cleaner without the logo.

Not 100 percent sure but I think there may be a difference on the movement as well. The 111 has an ETA ( clutch your pearls!!) movement and the 0005ay have an in house but I'm not sure. Just worth checking on your end

I prefer the 111 for two reasons. First, a big part of the Panerai look is the simple dial layout, and the logo just adds clutter IMO. In addition to the logo, the 005 has a painted dial and the 111 (at least for the past several years) uses a sandwich dial, which I like better.

 

The 005 and 111 both use an ETA 6497-2 movement. One has the Panerai shaped bridges and one uses the original bridge shapes. Both very good/reliable movements, and easily serviced by any competent watchmaker.

I believe if they put a new movement in the watch (one of their in house variants) you will see a different reference number used. Given some of the problems common on their in house movements, I would always opt for the ETA based versions personally.
