    Hi,
I believe the bezel insert on the 165.014 to be original as it is concave but the numbers have worn off.

Thanks, is that because of different tritium patina or fonts are different as with Rolex service dials?

As best as I can tell, the hour markers look 'fresh', like on a watchco...

Nope pin holes and tritium as explained in another post, different suppliers supplied different parts of Omega watches at the time, so the difference with tritium colours could be supply.

I stand corrected. If the watches are all vintage and correct, you may have the lune 'evened out' at a service place.
Else, just enjoy your sm300s. :)

Yup, that's what I meant in my previous post. You can enjoy them just as they are.

Would you mind posting a pic of the dial head on and a shot of the lumen glow if possible? I've never seen a tritium 300 dial with a color similar to yours. Would love to see a better shot of it. thanks

Then this was a bargin even with the dials different colour. He's a picture of a past big triangle SM300 with the same colour tritium as this one that I sold a long time ago ( mistake!!) . Which to date is still the best SM300 I have ever seen.

How do you tell? I have more experience with Rolex dials which always have tells when a service dials have been fitted replacing originals.
Any experts have reserch based views based on evidence and not personal opinions?
They are both SM 300's :) in the original post. In the last it a 5508 with the SM300.

    Experts welcome

In my experience with Rolex original tritium, its puffy, matt and uneven, lume on the other hand is smooth and shinny.

The dial in the 5508 is a very rare gilt service dial. Gilt dials usually had just Swiss and tritium service usually never gilt.
This gilt service dial has the Swiss 25 T.
