Since I have no knowledge about neither UG nor Nina Rindt other than I do know they are cool and expensive, I woul like some help with these 2. They both look fine to me but again, I am no expert at all.. Do they look ok? All parts original?
And the final question, are they worth trading for my 5513 mk3, 1675 mk4 and 1655 mk5??
First one is the Nina 885105.

They are both in exceptional condition.

Reference and Serial numbers are well visible.
Case on both is correct and sharp
    Signed plexis (big plus)
Bezel is correct on both and in great condition
Movement is correct and in fine looking condition
Hand set and crown is correct for model

Whether it is worth a trade is up to you but going by todays prices, i would say that they are.

    :)

The main plates both have the Valjoux 72 marking.

It appears that the Nina is stamped 'BE' next to this and the Evil Nina is stamped 'ZY'.

Does anyone know what these codes signify and why they might be different here?

Heuer Valjoux 72 movements are often marked MN. I didn’t know why but a google search take me to this statement from a seller:

In addition, the letters « MN » are engraved on the plate, just under the balance, which can be attributed to the trade marks of the « Compagnie des Montres Novalis », a swiss distributor, located in la Chaux-de-Fonds. The inside case back is engraved « Heuer-Leonidas S.a Swiss Stainless Steel ».

So I guess the BE and ZY are somehow comparable.

I read somewhere recently that the V72 main plates for UG Compax should all have the same code but I can't for the life of me find the thread/post where I read it or remember what that code was.

What made me think of that here is that the codes are different.

The UGs are very beautiful, and I have an idea who might be the seller, but I would never let these Rolexes go, especially for a straight trade...

Honestly dont do it. Have no idea of value but they will never be as good as your El Primero anyways...

wow...two exceptional examples. Rarely see them this nice...thats a tough one.
On paper they could be close, depends on the exact variations of the Rolex and condition. but...

Keep the 5513 and try to get the Nina.
Then you have an auto and a manual, both appear exceptional.

I'm going to preface this with the disclaimer that I usually add that I am a novice, and the values of these watches is a market I don't play in. But I guess my question is if the Nina's have the long term staying power that the Rolex have. Yes, right now either Nina is worth an astronomical amount - but will that stay? In all honesty I prefer the UG's to Rolex (well... except maybe the GMT) but I recognize that the Rolex watches have some serious staying power when it comes to value. The NRUG watches have exploded in value in the past 4-5 years - mostly due to the Hodinkee effect I think. They are no-doubt cool watches - but I would have a hard time doing that trade.

I've seen these Evil Ninas sold for 12-13K€. I don't know how the future will be, but for sure I'd not trade (I am repeating myself, I know) three classic Rolex references (including a super 1655!) for a couple of very nice, but not so "strong", chronos.
If you have to think at the future, what do you think will have the best values? These Rolex or these UG? I'd bet on Rolex.
Maybe a different thing is speaking about 40's UG. But these are 60's UG. They have common movements, shared with Daytonas too, without being Rolex.

Just an example: a year ago more or less, you needed 10K to buy a Wittnauer 242T. Today I see unsold pieces at 7K.
I don't see unsold Rolexes at 70% of their past value.

And I am saying this, as UG lover. I bet the dealer would be very very happy about this trade! :)
