Paean to Seiko 7005 movements

I’ve only recently discovered these watches - I’m not keen on day/date - so these are aesthetically pleasing too.

They run well, keep time accurately and, imo, keep their looks. The quick date advance is as good or better than most and although they can’t be wound, they move quickly into action.

My two have clearly never been used roughly but all of them are generally as cheap as chips

Plus one for paean. I like the Seiko day date in most cases but I had small box of those 7005’s some with dates which I think is the “a”. Anyway on the non winders I also found them nifty. I gave most of them away as little gifts but I saved a little reading I did on the date one I think it is

Interesting read. These watches are deceptively simple but easy to set and accurate.
