Following my last post, I asked the seller to set the LA at 50 degrees as advised by a few of you guys. He kindly accommodated, here they are; 8F3984CD-9C0B-4CA2-A781-E4C23E443C89.jpeg 5E74027C-04CC-4523-BA54-A29E4B2A4283.jpeg

Yep as I suspected, real amplitude is pretty low at 234º (see I found the º after help). Its not terrible but it would benefit from a service IMO, I can't believe the claim that it was serviced recently. A healthy 861 would be more like 280-310º, though I am happy to be corrected by those with more experience than my meagre collection allows.

Hi Padders, thanks for your input. I just read again through the sellers response to one of my questions
“ I took over this watch from a hungarian watch dealer who has a local shop and who revised / cleaned the watch. No documentation “ So not actually serviced-cleaned and revised, not sure what “revised” actually entails. Bottom line, it needs a service, question is - is it worth paying $2500 AUD + import tax then pay for the service ? I’m not sure how much to allow for a service.

    Honestly? Probably not.
