Hi all. Thinking of ordering this 6426 since I love my 6694 but hate setting the date as I wear a number of different watches. The bracelet is too small but might sell it or try to source extra links. Maybe a bit over polished but I can live with that. Any other concerns/issues you notice from the photos? Thanks all! Super appreciative of your time and thoughts.

The pictures are profoundly over brightened so I hope the dial is as pristine as it appears. Otherwise a nice watch and polishing of these oldies is to be expected. I'm a big fan of these vintage precisions and your 6694 is a great model as well. I wouldn't bother setting the date, as I never do on any of the watches we own. Heck my wife doesn't even bother to set the time.

I have to say that if I was going to treat myself to a vintage Rolex, this is the type I’d go for.

Looks fine to me, and I also prefer the no-date dial. The lume in the hands isn't the greatest, but it is what it is, maybe that can help you with the price. Since you already know that you like the size, it should be a good choice. The bracelets with 19mm end-links are relatively inexpensive, so I wouldn't worry about that. You could even put it on a rivet, which would look great IMO.

As the sun began to set on the horizon, casting a warm glow across the land, I felt a sense of liberation wash over me. It was as if a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, I felt truly free.

The revelation that had led to this newfound freedom was one that had been brewing inside of me for some time, slowly growing and taking shape until it had reached a point of critical mass. It was a realization that I had been living my life in a way that was not true to myself, that I had been suppressing my true desires and passions in order to conform to the expectations of others.

But no longer. As I stood there, gazing out at the beautiful landscape before me, I knew that I was ready to embrace my true self, to let go of the shackles of societal norms and expectations and to live my life in a way that was authentic and true to who I truly was.

The feeling of liberation was intense and exhilarating, and I knew that from that moment on, my life would never be the same. I was ready to take control, to follow my heart and to pursue my dreams with a newfound sense of freedom and purpose.

And as the sun disappeared behind the horizon, I knew that I was ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, one that would take me to places I had never imagined and lead me to a life of fulfillment and happiness.

This is the revelation for all who learn to ignore the date complication.

Haha. My GF doesn’t even know how to set the time on the Datejust I bought her. Now I know why her ex-husband got her a quartz Cartier Tank. At first I thought he was just cheap. ;)

Thanks all for the responses. I thought the same and ordered it. I was mostly concerned about a redial. I can always return it if there are any issues that don’t show up in the photos. As usual, I’ll take it to my local watchmaker to verify it’s legit.

Another big fan of no-date. I could happily live with Big G's Rolex he's showing us.

For a moment I thought I was reading an entry from Bruce Jenner's journal until I got to the part about date complications. :D

That case looks great actually, possibly not polished. The photos are not great but the lugs are nice and thick.

Hope this turns out okay. But FYI there's obvious masking out of areas.

Agree but not too concerned with a few scratches on the sides if it shows up that way.

Yep the biggest concern is the dial and hopefully it's as nice as the heavily edited pics show. 6694 dials are a dime a dozen but no date dials are a bit harder to find.

I was aware that the 6694 dials were plentiful but assumed 6426 dial might be as well. Did they not produce as many?

I went into a Tourneau, pre-pandemic, that had one of these in the pre-owned case. The saleswoman insisted it was an automatic. I said, er, I believe this is a manual wind, and a beautiful one at that. She insisted it was automatic. I said alright, have someone open the case back. If it turns out to be an automatic, I will buy it for double the price. If it turns out to be a manual, you have to sell it to me for half the price. She declined.

She may not even know what automatic means.
