Oyster Perpetual Submariner Book: Worth Buying?

Has anybody purchased or reviewed this book? Currently diving into the Submariner and considering another sub purchase, on top of the 16610LV and 14060M. Thought this book is a must have for Sub collectors, wondering if it's well done.

Don’t have the book but would also be interested in whether folks think it is good/worth it. A little pricey (hardcover) but seems to get good reviews online.

I sent the book to a member here on OF and he sent it back to me after reading it. I then sent it to a member on TRF and haven't heard from him since.

I enjoyed the book. A very detailed history of the Submariner with great photos.

It’s essentially a PR piece for Rolex, very different than the Moonwatch Only book.

Not much that a true collector nerd would be interested in.

A few interesting gems in there but probably not worth buying unless it’s a good price.

Published by Rolex. Lots of interesting pictures, history including movies, the only real reference info is the listing of all references in back with limited info but does include production numbers

Thanks everyone for the replies! I may need to run down to my local bookstore and take a peek. Barnes and Nobles (for those lucky enough to have one near them) apparently carries the book, but whether they have it in a physical location will vary.
