I don’t really collect these but have a few for some reason. The most obvious one is my phone… but here are a few interesting ones. I don’t use any of these. They simply accumulated over time. Perhaps I will need them in the future. The background is from a late 60s publication and shows pages from hundred plus year old Eaton’s catalogues. And to close my loop (see what I did there? Or do you need a loupe?) here is a photo of a Loupe Holster made by our own DaveK.





Do you use loupes? Got any nice ones to show?

I recently picked up - for a few bucks - this little device. The pics with the Seamaster are mine. I’ve also included pics and a write up of what this is from a « for sale » listing on the internet.

First half of the 19th Century! Of very little use for watches, unless I use it perhaps as a pocket watch fob.

Here some other vintage magnifiers 😀

ZEISS Tellup, SEIBERT EMO (both can be used as telescopes) . The big LEITZ ist my favourite for "dial-inspections"
