    Hello all,
I'm wondering, do most of the people who use this forum also visit other forums as well? What other forums are popular around here?
When buying or selling, do you prefer one forum over another?

    Thanks!

Didn't you read the rules before signing up? :whipped:

This has to be the most peculiar debut post that I can recall.

Sort of like going out on a first date and immediately asking the girl if she happens to have any attractive sisters. :D

Well, this forum was recommended from another forum so I was curious to see what kind of cross-over there might be!

I have looked at that one but it was not for me.

As I mainly collect Omega watches then this one covers all my needs.

I do look at Hodinkee, although there are not so many good articles on there during a typical week. I read Fratello watches, and think it is the best watch site for quality reading.

I spend too much time reading about watches so probably a good thing that I stick to Omega Forums.

IMO, it's more like casually asking a date who else she hangs out with and having her respond by glaring at you and saying "Why? You want to bang all my friends or something?"
As I've suggested, this antagonism or "rivalry" seems to be entirely one-sided. I've never encountered a pejorative post about OF on WUS. Nobody has to explain a "reason" for preferring OF to WUS; but the attitude on the part of some here toward WUS has always struck me as childish, especially when it's the same members who say they regard the conversations on WUS to be "frivolous." Hard to get much more frivolous than "my forum's better than your forum," IMO.

    I use only Omega forums..
I had an account on WUS but I did not like at all the "architecture" of it.
I dont even remember my account name there anymore.
Omega Forums is much more easier to navigate through and very well built as a site.

I had no intent of inciting rivalry i've seen that people of WUS have good things to say about OF. I was merely interested in how the communities interact and whether there were many of the same people on both forums or if they were seperated. That's all.

Are you suggesting that the average WUS member actually knows that other forums exist?

OF has a membership that regularly displays a higher level of wit and humor. Our motto is... I am dumb as not you think as I am.

I use to be a little active on WUS. But there User Interface is not good. In the past I would sell my non Omega watches as it did get way more traffic for sales than here. But there was way too many posts about "does this strap look good" so I'm pretty much no longer there.

This forum is definitely elegant in its simplicity, friendly to the user and seems to draw members that are a little more on the ball.

Definition for our members that may not speak english as their first language.

    on the ball
    phrase of ball
    1. alert to new ideas, methods, and trends.
"maintaining contact with customers keeps me on the ball"
      • indicating competence, alertness, or intelligence.
"a woman like that, with so much on the ball"

Well, I am going to say that the Calibre 11 Heuer forum shares the OF login info and your posts and likes carry over to there. This was quite a big revelation to me when I found out.

    Well how about that!

Now I'll need a vintage Heuer.
