Hi all. My son is traveling to Thailand in a few days to attend a wedding. The dress code dictates a cotton or linen suit. Before he goes to Thailand, he will be in Singapore for several days. I am curious, if anyone knows, whether there are low priced suit makers in Singapore that would be similar to what one would find in Thailand or Hong Kong, that could make him a reasonably nice suit in a few days at a relatively low price. Thanks for any input.

There definitely are tailors who could do the work in 2-3 days. But unless your son is used to haggling over price as an artform I suggest taking along a local who is used to Singapore-style bargaining to handle the financial negotiation on his behalf.

Just like in HK, there is no such thing as a reasonably nice suit, at a relatively low price, made in a few days.

What your son will probably be getting is a glued (fused) suit without much (any) custom cutting.

Having said that, if it's a "one and done", might be fine.

Far East Plaza has several tailors who know what they’re doing and won’t charge an arm and a leg lah. I’ve got two suits made from one of the longer standing places. Excellent materials and tailoring.
