Will be in Japan for a few days in mid December with my family. Landing in Tokyo and can either stay there or visit Kyoto or somewhere else for a day or two. Thoughts on must see or must do activities? I recognize the cold weather. My wife doesn’t really ski so that is not an option.

I think Tokyo is the great city to stay in.
Shimokitazawa is a nice town if you're interested in vintage clothes and records.
