    I mean, Enrico Caruso (1873-1920), the great operatic tenor, a prolific recording artist in his day.

    Last night I made a little video of one one of my favorites of his records (the aria "Magiche note" from Karl Goldmark's "Queen of Sheba", recorded in 1909 [Victor 87041]), as played on a period Victor gramophone.
