Hello - I am currently on the hunt for my first vintage Longines and was hoping folks could provide input as to off the below couple of watches I came across are original or Redials and/or any recommendations on models. I really like the 7176 ref, which I came across on the thread but didn't pull the trigger on in time, but below are the others I am looking at. Let me know what you think. Thanks
IMO, all of the above examples have been redialled. None of them have "Swiss" or "Swiss Made" on the dial. Here's one to use as a reference: http://longines30l.com/longserie/11623904.htm Plenty more at the 30L website. http://longines30l.com/wordpress/?page_id=39 Type "7176" in the search box at the top right. There was a nice example for sale in this forum, but it seems to be sold. https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-longines-7176-price-reduced.61973/ This is not a rare reference. With patience, you can find a good one for sale out there. Good luck with your search. gatorcpa
Thanks for the feedback and good to hear that the 7176 is not a rare ref - I certainly will be on the lookout
There has been three of these for sale on our forum over the last few days. This is the last one left. https://omegaforums.net/threads/longines-flagship-ref-7176.62172/ What are you waiting for? gatorcpa
Was planning to hold out for another one with the Arabic dial like the first one that had been posted. Will see how long I make it.
Important to note, the presence of "Swiss" at the bottom of the dial does not always mean the dial is original. http://www.ebay.de/itm/LONGINES-VIN...647306?hash=item569f96cb8a:g:sg0AAOSwC~tZkZW7Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
