Hi to all, this UG Uni Compax oversized (around 37 mm without crown calibre 287) have beautiful hands but i don't know if are original hands for Uni Compax or are Aero Compax hands. Thanks .
No! Anytime that you see such a sharp disparity in the degradation of different components of a vintage watch, you should assume that the part which looks much newer has been replaced or relumed.
or water damage.. i've sen some come up a bit brighter due to humidity or water damage. Someone relumed the hands but left that dial. I don't understand why they would bother.
Seller told me are NOS Aero Compax hands from his old watchmaker.I need your opinions because i want to buy onother hands set from this watchmaker.I don't think are relumed but i am not sure.Dial have patina but not from water because i see movement is very clean and work very well. I am not an expert but i like to learn every day from other collectors. And maybe i will post in every day something because i wanna make 200 posts.
I look every day here on Omega forum and i saw many interesting discusiom but because my english is bad i just looking and not participate. But i found good informations here and nice persons ready to help with advice.
Thanks for advise but most vintage watches have problems with dial.On ebay most vintage watches have repainted dial. With 100 euro in UK or Swiss dial will be repainted. Is a rare watch .I can't find every day something like this.
