Could I ask for your opinion as to whether this dial is original or a re-dial/re-finished?:

AFAIK a couple of these later Constellations references do have the different scripts on the dial and this looks like one of them.

 

Many thanks Christos - I have found Desmond's website and his article on ultra-thins which has a picture of a watch with this style dial with the curly "n"'s in "constellation". So hopefully this is good. The case and dial do seem in very good condition which I suppose is reflected in the price being at the top end?

 

It may be at the top end but to me the case and dial look in excellent shape and I think with a watch that is certainly worth paying a premium for.
Whether or not it is too much of a premium only you can decide
