Hi everyone,

I’m considering buying this vintage Omega 30T2 for US$650.

Key details:
• Movement: Omega Cal. 30T2, 17 jewels, serial 11487997
• Case: 10K Gold Filled, marked “Farnsworth” on the caseback (in addition to the Omega triangle logo) - so this appears to be a US-cased Omega rather than a Swiss-cased one
• Caseback also marked “OMEGA WATCH Co / B6629 / T884741”
• Case size approx. 33.5mm
The seller says:
• No service history available
• Dial, hands, crown, and movement are original to the best of his knowledge
• No obvious aftermarket parts
• No timegrapher available; he adjusted the regulator himself and says it now keeps good time
I’ve attached photos of the dial, movement, and caseback.

My main questions are:
1. Does the dial look original or redialed?
2. Do the hands, crown, and movement look correct?
3. Any concerns about it being a Farnsworth (US) case rather than a Swiss Omega case?
4. Do you see any red flags?
5. Assuming everything checks out, is $650 a fair price?
6. Would this be a good long-term collector’s piece?

Thank you!

Look at the wonky M in Omega and the lack of Swiss or Swiss made. No way that dial is original. I don't see any collector value here at all really.

Many things wrong with this watch, but just look at the "M" and decide if that could be original.

1. Redial (bad one) as above
2. Movement ok, hands and crown maybe ok not sure
3.Farnsworth is US casemaker, and movement marked OXG indicating US market watch, so this is consistent with US market
4. Yes poor redial
5. No
6. No

Agree w above do not buy. Good that you asked first!
Keep hunting!

Wouldn’t buy it. Case is poor and mainspring bridge looks like replacement as colour doesn’t match rest of movement
