I have 18 month old PO with original bracelet. Got an email from Omega. They have released a 21mm stainless mesh bracelet with 18mm deployment buckle. If you have both, interested in your thoughts. Wrist here is 18cm. Which do you prefer and why?

Those mesh bracelets don't always fit comfortably. It is not just the size of your wrist, but the shape makes a big difference. If you have a boutique in your area, request them to try a bracelet on with your watch.

I personally bend/curve the deployant away from the mesh and for me it makes a huge difference in how it wraps around. I am not recommending you do this because it may render the bracelet useless 😀

Posting to second this recommendation. It happens to sit nicely on my wrist but there is a degree of rigidity and inflexibility in the mesh that means it is not for everyone.

Personally, I really like the original shark mesh bands with seat belt clasp. They come in three widths (20/22/24mm), and are adaptable to adjacent odd mm sizes. Very comfy, flexible, sturdy, and neither the band nor the clasp are too thick. They appear used from time to time, and I think you can also order them from Omega, but they are a bit pricey new.
Edit: just looked up the price for the new mesh bands. If this is what we are talking about https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/omega-two-piece-strap-stainless-steel-mesh-bracelet-020z019173w , then the original ones are not pricey...
