I’m pretty sure my Seamaster Cosmic 2000 bought for my grandfather in 1975 had a different bracelet but if so it’s long gone. The picture shows what’s on it now. Would you have a good picture of the original?

Omega produced this special Cosmic 2000 Date in two interations imo. Yours should be Ref. 166.0128 (where the day-date version of it had 166.0126) and was only delivered on leather strap.

The steel steel version is Ref. 166.0135 and its bracelet is part of the overall design of the watch:

To the best of my knowledge there was no OEM bracelet for the 166.0128 at all.

The Ref 166.0128 came on both 1171 and 1175 bracelets, with 676 endlinks

Would you know happen to know the default color and style of the leather strap?

I Googled these and was fascinated to see what's available out there on Ebay.

    Hi SY,

Unfortunately not. Just tried to snoop through the archives of old-omegas but only found the SS version of the day-date

straps seem to be one of the nowadays extremely expensive non leather corfam strap which Heuer collectros are so keen on.

This for your reading pleasure (while yours beeing a 20mm lug width imho) :)

Am I right in thinking that the 9-row BOR with 528 end links will also fit some of the Cosmic 2000 range?

According to my table both the 135.016, [135.0016], 136.016, [136.0016] came with 528 end links, I believe these are just Cosmics though and not Cosmic 2000s. If you could provide me with some Cosmic 2000 references, I could let you know what information I have on to them.

It may also interest you that from my research the 528 end-links only came with the 1037 bracelet, as oppose to other 9-row BoR produced by Omega.

I don't have any particular reference in mind, I just wondered because I happen to have some 528 end links. On reflection I think you are probably right that they would fit the Cosmics and not the Cosmic 2000s as IIRC it's the earlier Cosmics that have the flat case backs with straight lug gaps.

From a quick look through some of my raw data, I cant see the 528s fitting anything other than the references I mentioned above. I would be inclined to agree with you that they wont fit the Cosmic 2000s.

Found this thread after receiving the watch a few days ago, thought it could help.I had to clean the watch like hell because the old rubber ring faded to a black glue. I fitted a new one, lucky me, i found the original part on eBay after finding the original part number here on the lovely OF.

    Thanks Archer

A picture from the seller before the cleaning.

I realy like the bronze tone of the outer case ;)

Sorry but this is incorrect. The Cosmic 2000 shown in the OP came on a couple of bracelets such as the 1171.
