I can’t even imagine what price this collection will get at auction - Phillips have put together original 2913, 2914, 2915 watches from 1957 and thrown in a 1958 Ranchero for good measure. They are all allegedly in pristine condition (a bold statement by itself) - I imagine this would have some impact on the vintage market, especially when you consider Ultramans are being offered for $80,000. Also, there’s a gorgeous chocolate dial 2915-1 up in the same auction... https://www.revolution.watch/omega-...ghlights-from-the-geneva-watch-auction-eight/
Sigh. You know we’re at the top of the market — all the special stuff is coming out. How long before we tip over the edge?
Nice that the Ranchero is acknowledged as the 4th Musketeer I wonder if the 2913 count down bezel is the real deal
I believe they were acquired by the auction house individually but are being sold as the (ultimate) set. They would have had fun finding them all, unless they all belonged to the same person, family or business.
What do people think? Is selling them all together gonna net them more money than if sold individually?
Yes The resourcefulness in assembling something like this combined with Phillips reach in the sales dpt will be pure
