Here is my 69 speedy that I bought recently

I have decided to keep the original hands, but I restored the white paint. I also added an orange hand just for fun.
Do you like the result ?

That dial and bezel combo is phenomenal! I like the pop of color from the orange hand, how did you touch up the paint on your original subdial hands?

and for some additional fun, add a black leather strap w/some red stitching!

I like it. Subtle but I like it. Agree with @alam, accenting the stitching of a strap with a matching color would put this over the top.

Beautiful watch. The patina is wonderful.

I would personally leave the white chrono hand, but who am I to judge. If it makes you happy, that's what matters in this case!

I'd have kept the original chrono needle, but I personally happen to love the dark coffee lume on some old Speedmasters!

I used white paint that I mixed with other pigments. The paint of these vintage hands is not perfectly white so I often add tiny amounts of black or yellow color in the mix.
I think it's always better to restore the original hands than to put new hands.

Of course I kept the original chrono hand so I can replace it when I want.

Love the orange hand. If an Ultraman comes up for sale - I want it.
